This Seminar will cover: subjects important to your business. Doing the federal return for your client is only part of the job. Completion of the client's state return is often a sizable task in itself. If you or your clients live or work in the Washington Metropolitan Area, you may have to prepare returns for more than one jurisdiction.
CPE Program Standards: The objective of this seminar is to enhance the participant’s ability to prepare accurate and complete tax returns for Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. The program does not require prerequisites or advanced preparation. However, participants should have intermediate to advanced skills in tax preparation in order to follow the overview and update presentations. The morning session will be in lecture format, and will feature a tax planning component highlighting the changes in federal tax law and opportunities to plan at the state level. The afternoon session will present examples of numerous tax issues in a case study format. This will allow the participants to track and compare the different state approaches to specific tax issues.
On-site Registration: If you have not pre-registered and find, at the last minute, that you can attend, it would be advisable to contact Sherry Loop, EA (703) 866-9152, not later than the evening of January 24, 2008, to determine if space is available.
Space is limited at the seminar site.
Questions? Contact Sherry Loop, EA at (703) 866-9152.
